    Why not?
Because daily laxatives and weekly enemas are not appropriate for anyone who isn't constipated. Enemas are for constipation...or colonoscopies....lol or buttsecks. (Too crude?)
Because "21 pounds in 21 days" , which is how it's marketed, isn't possible or healthy unless your start weight is over 400 pounds.
Because the large majority of people who lose pounds with crazy laxative enema plans put the weight back on as quickly as it came off. (You may think you're different and special and will be one of the few who manages to keep it off...but don't you think everyone thinks that when they start?)

Why not...eat food, log your calories, try to be in a caloric deficit most days? That's GOT to be easier, more pleasant, and more delicious than liquid diets and enemas.

    This.

Because no one wants the OP to get sick or injured and this isn't one of the futile detoxes that are just silly and disappointing. This one is actually fairly dangerous.

The only thing I would probably do is to have a good look at your "normal" diet and perhaps tweak things a bit so that you can keep your weightloss and not gain it back.

Best of luck and keep us updated.

Yeah, and if all the other kids are jumping off the bridge, why not? It's just a bridge, and it's your life, after all. :flowerforyou:

I'm almost certain that "supportive" here means yelling "jump" in that scenario . . .

I was concentrating on the fact the the op wanted to do a juice diet and not on laxatives and enemas. I am not familiar with this particular form of diet, but juicing itself seems to have helped quite a lot of people.

Ah, the old "jump starting" for people who aren't patient and want immediate results that'll never last. Enjoy your pooping.
  • I looked it up on Google - found this review on WebMD:
The Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox promises to peel off a pound a day and rid your body of toxins. But is it a good idea, given that your body detoxes itself, regardless of what you eat?

On the plan, you drink liquid every two hours, take supplements that have a laxative effect, and do enemas.

In the next couple of paragraphs it mentions the "organic coffee enemas".

So yeah, I have heard of this one, awhile back in another thread here on the boards from someone looking for that "jump start" or quick fix" to lose a bunch of weight fast.

Coffee goes in your mouth, not the other end. Log it with other, normal food, eating at a deficit, drinking plenty of water, and doing some exercise. The body "detoxes" itself, assuming your liver, kidneys and other organs are functioning properly.

Temporary changes will get you temporary results. Eat real food. Exercise. Drink water, get good sleep, take rest days. Enjoy a cup of coffee by mouth. And make healthy changes you can do for life, not fad diets that make empty promises and want you to shoot caffeinated liquids up your butt.

    Seriously.

Hmmmm, I wonder if one utilizes previously used coffee grounds if that would be considered recycling???

$213.95??? Yikes. That's a lot of money for something that is not likely to be healthy and certainly not sustainable. If you are looking to juice fast, there are healthier ways to do it. Definitely do some research before you try something like that.

    OP, are you still here?

That's it - starting today I'm offering Dr Whoodles' Drop-o-rama 30 day Weight Loss Fast for only $199.99. You only drink watered down Gatorade and anytime you think of eating something else you send me $5.
