There are lots of ways to build a stronger core. I've probably had the most improvement from planking exercises, but I've also done more traditional ab exercises along way.
However, if your goal is to get a smaller tummy, you're asking the wrong question. Unfortunately, we cannot spot reduce fat. The only way to reduce fat on your stomach is to reduce your body fat percentage overall, which will happen by eating at a calorie deficit. You can improve the strength and endurance of your muscles through exercise, but abs are made in the kitchen!0 -
