Help! I ran a really tough 5k that was a lot of uphill and downhill on Saturday. I have killer shin splints still today and my hips and thighs are also killing me. I have ran several 5k's and this is the first one that this has happened with. How long does this usually last? I hate getting off of my workout routines!

They could linger for a while or they could be okay after a couple days. Mine didn't hurt until about a mile into my runs, so it was tough to tell when they were actually better. Just try to do some low impact stuff for a while if you can.0

I have had the same problems. I got better running shoes and I also try using KT tape. The KT tape really helped and you can get it at any pharmacy. hope this helps.0

As far as your hips, make sure that you stretch good before and after it helped me once I listened and did it. And I was turned on to compression socks for shin splints ( nomorerack) has them for $20.00. good Luck!!0
