I'm at a loss

I'm 31, 5"5 and about 170lbs. I am currently eating 5 small meals/day consisting of limited carbs and high protein. I am working out around 3x/week with lifting and cardio each time. I can't lose weight!

I eat anywhere from 1200-1600 cal/day and according to my fit bit, I burn around 2500 total each day. I don't get it. Help!

You've logged like 6 times in the last month. Try to stick to logging every day, then come back if you are still having issues.

How long have you been doing this?

#1 reason for not losing weight or gaining is eating too much. If you aren't losing you need to look at your diary. You're not logging everything or accurately. Start there

If you start logging everything every day, you might see that you are actually consuming more calories than you think. I know that logging has helped me to keep myself in check, and if you feel hungry after consuming your allotted calories, maybe there is a reason for it, and you may need to discuss it with your doctor/dietitian.

I've been logging my food on my fitbit so I haven't used this site as much. I've been doing this for a few months now.

I should also add that I only drink coffee and water. about 125 oz of water a day

Then I would highly suggest using a digital scale to weigh foods that aren't liquid, too and see if that helps

Your diary is blank and/or incomplete for the last 3 days.

Assuming you are logging food accurately, then when you eat 1200 but you are burning 2500, you are at a 50% calorie deficit. That is way too large of a calorie deficit. TDEE - 20% is a safe level for weight loss. This would be 2,000 calories.

I use a digital scale so I know how much food Im taking in.

I use my fitbit app to track food. I also eat pretty much the same thing every day...

    Today for example-

    Breakfast-
2 poached eggs, 1 cup of grits

    Rest of my meals-
    2.5 oz turkey patty
    3/4 cups brocolli
    1/2 cup brown rice

Have you lost no weight or is it just not coming off as fast as you want? How long has it been since you saw a drop on the scale?

That's not even 500 calories, maybe 700 if you have that "rest of my meals" twice.

    Eat more food.

    Hey,

I strongly suggest that you are not eating enough, or you are exercising too much. Your body is trying to hold onto everything it can to survive, if you tone down the intensity of this, you should be having a 500 roughly calorie defect, then you will loose weight. What you are doing now is not healthy, I have done the same thing before!! I'm not judging, just trying to give you a hand. Trust me if you shorten the massive gap in calories, you will loose much more weight!!!

Good job on the commitment though!

You still need to eat more food.

and get some variety - and some fat, and dairy and fruit and other vegetables and different sources of protein, and

    Eat more food.

Eat 2,000 calories for several weeks. You will have more energy for exercise and you should still lose weight.
