2500 Calories from MFP

I know this question has been probably asked before but I am a 5'11 / 262lb male and I am finding it hard to eat 2,500 calories a day to fill the numbers that MFP has given me. I've lost a few pounds since the beginning of January and have not been worried too much because I know weight loss takes time (8lbs exactly, not looking for drastic numbers in a short amount of time).

My real concern is that I'm having a hard time filling up 2,500 calories and then seeing that after I train for 45mins and have burned 400 to 500 of those calories off (using a HRM).

Should I just keep on what I'm doing? I believe my diary is public, criticism is welcomed.

Thanks!

2500 net calories is probably a bit high for you, in that it's not a very aggressive caloric deficit based on your estimated TDEE and you're saying you have trouble hitting those numbers. I suspect you'd be perfectly fine eating around 2000 net calories per day, provided you can stick with that long-term. It looks like you normally eat around that level anyways, so personally I would just reconfigure MFP based on a lower caloric intake and try that for a bit. While you don't want to go "too low" with your calories, there's definitely a lot of wiggle room in setting your target calories.
  • I eat 2500 a day (total, not net) Monday-Friday. Feel free to browse my diary!
  • All those veggies mtpkok! Are you maintaining or training gain / lose?
