Jumpstart to Skinny Success?

Has anyone tried Bob Harper's Jumpstart to Skinny 3 week plan? I plan on starting it on Sunday and following it basically verbatim. I also want to add Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to the workouts required with the plan. I will be posting photos of meals and maybe even progress photos on my fitness Instagram account. Follow me if you want to know how it goes!! Also, I would like to hear any advice from those who completed or are in the process of completing this program thanks! My Instagram account username is _wishfulshrinking do not forget the underscore!

If you are doing another workout, you aren't following the plan verbatim. There is nothing wrong with adapting it, but if it is very limited and calories and you are adding a whole additional workout, you may be short changing yourself.

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Ask yourself is this is something you can keep up. Knowing what I do about Bob Harper, it is probably a very low calorie diet. Is it just a "jump start" that then leaves you hanging, or do you learn something fundamental from it?

I understand what you mean but I have done a lot of research on this program and have spoken to people who have completed the program as well. They all told me that the meals were very large portions and very filling. They never felt like they were starving or not consuming enough calories. I would not partake in this program is it required to practically starve myself. I have also calculated the calorie amount of the meals and they all meet a healthy amount. Thank you for your concern though!! Also, as for continuing after the jumpstart I plan to follow Bob's Skinny Rules which is suggested when you finish. I also plan to keep up with my workouts.

After planning for a week, I just started Jumpstart yesterday (Monday). I got nauseated from eating too many "free" veggies on the first day and, as a result, didn't eat dinner. But I'm feeling good on Day 2. Since I'm really out of shape, I'm planning on doing the daily walks (started yesterday) but leaving out the additional exercise for now - my body is all sorts of achy and fatigued, and I don't want to press my luck just yet. I have 35-40 lbs to lose but I'm really just looking for a Jumpstart - I'm hopeful I can shed 12-15 in these three weeks and transition to a more sustainable plan.

Good luck to you, and be sure to post about your results!

I just ordered the book too. I'd really like to hear about other people's success. I want to read through the book first and get prepared/educated before I start. Anyone need a motivational buddy? I sure could use one.
