Sooo... MSG.
Why's avoiding it such a big deal? Comparable at all to the "heavy metals in canned tuna" issue? Or is the scare all hype?
Sure, I could google it. But that wouldn't be nearly as entertaining.

It's mostly hype. Some people might have an intolerance to it but generally speaking it's no worse than the other glutamates.
If you eat tomato paste without problems then you shouldn't expect to have any issue with other foods containing glutamates, such as MSG.0 -
If people have been eating processed foods then they're consuming MSG......apparently if people know they're eating MSG symptoms increase ....of course some people may have an aversion to MSG in much the samew way people have aversions to any ingredient.0

Some people are sensitive to it. For most people it's fine.0

I have to watch for it due to a diagnosed medical condition, but if I didn't have that I would not worry too much about it.0
