Nearly Summer, and I still don't have a beach body!
If anyone has any tips, advice, anything - I'd be really greatful.
I'm also single this summer for the first time in about 3 years - gotta get back in the game!

Welcome! We are lucky in Australia because fresh produce is cheap and easy to get a lean meat is easy to get.
Biggest tip I can give you is to stay away from processed foods as much as possible. So lean meats, eggs, dairy, fresh fruit and vegies etc. Limit your starches (potato bread pasta rice) and use nuts and seeds as snacks.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you! Yes, I'm lucky cause my mum really only buys organic fruit & veggies, and hardly any processed foods, my main problem is eating late night, or just not the right things (eg. bread!)
Definitely need to start practicing some self-control, and portion control. Hopefully that'll put me on the right path to start with .
Congrats on your weight loss so far, doing awesome!0 -
Thanks. I am averaging 1kg per week, at the moment. but might push that up to 1.5 as the weather warms up and I can do more outdoors stuff.
I have found the way to keep my cravings and hunger in check is to have 3 meals and 3 snacks minimum each day. Sometimes I will have even more snacks. The other thing that I am lucky with is that I actually really like vegetables. So a couple of cups of Steamed Broccoli or cauliflower or spinach etc with dinner makes me very full for only a very small calorie count.
My snacks are mostly protein based, boiled egg, can of flavoured tuna, cottage cheese with dill cucumbers etc.
And I have mostly cut out alcohol I will still have a beer or a rum here and there but rarely. Fat is still good for you in certain amounts but alcohol has no good properties (when talking of weight loss, it has heaps of good properties for mental well being!!!)
And the final thing I do is interval training. No long slow runs for me! 25 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical doing 2 minutes very light pace then 1 minute as hard as I can possibly go, that and weight training are the only structured work outs I am doing at the moment.0 -
