How long will it take to train for a 5k?

There's a really cool 5k Zombie Mud Run happening in a town about 2 hours from where I live and I think it'd be lots of fun to join; however, it's 3 months away. Would I be able to train for that (reasonably - I can't workout all day everyday), within 3 months? I currently do 3-4 45 min aerobic/cardio workouts a week and have been for 6 weeks.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sure. I think Couch to 5k takes 8 weeks or something? Go slow and get good shoes. You'll be fine0

Yep! Assuming right now you can run a minute at a time that's enough time to do C25K. You only need to run 3 days a week, at max 40 minutes.0

I am on week 5 this week, just tried running on my day off in-between sessions and ran 20minutes straight. 4wks ago I struggled to run more than 1 minute so it is certainly possible for you to reach 5k in 3months. Good luck0

Probably, yes. I say probably because a mud run could have obstacles and that is not just running a 5K. But, the 5K part, for sure. C25K is an 8 or 9 week program. It took me 13 weeks to complete. But still I could have done a 5K in 3 months.0

Thank you all for your encouragement and advice!
It is indeed a mud run so there will be obstacles, but I've been doing some light strength training so hopefully by 3 months I'll be able to survive the zombies!
Thanks again!0
