Activity Levels? Confused.

Hi guys,
Just wondered about these activity levels that MFP designates calories with regards to..
I'm currently a full-time mum to a 7 month old boy who is crawling & go running daily (albeit not very far, I'm just starting out but at least 20 mins a night) and have currently got my setting as sedentary, would you raise this to lightly active given my activity level throughout the day with a toddler etc? x

I don't really know. For me I was at sedentary and then thought this is CRAZY, why am I putting that when I have 4 kids and a house and yard to take care of. So I changed it. Even though my kids are finally in school I am still rushing with laundry and everything so definently for me...LIGHT ACTIVE. Just think about what you do all day...a 7 month old can keep you very busy I'd say0

Sure you can change it over, it's really up to you, how active you feel you are each day. Keep in mind though excercise is seperate than your daily activities. Your daily activites is what you do each and everyday.
Your workouts you log in under excercise. So if you're thinking of changing to lightly active because of the running you might reconsider as that should actually be logged on it's own.:flowerforyou:0 -
As healthy stated, it is completely up to you if you want to change your settings. Keep in mind though, that if you increase your overall activity level settings it will probably increase what you need for calories and carbs and fat ect....it all will depend on what your goals are right now?0

Personally I would leave it where it's at, check out this blog post on BMR and activity levels:
