Just getting started

Hello! I'm Laura. I live in Portland, Oregon. I'm married, childfree and have many nerdy interests (Star Wars, LOTR, Magic the Gathering, Harry Potter ect). I currently work weekends in retail (hopefully not for much longer) and do dog training Monday - Friday.

I'm just getting back on my fitness routine after being seriously derailed by a Las Vegas trip and the holidays. I'm currently using this, Weight Watchers and my Jawbone UP. I also have used (and plan to start again) Gym Pact to motivate me to go to the gym. I'm an emotional eater for sure and am currently in therapy addressing my crippling anxiety. I am also a vegetarian. I don't have a specific number in mind for my goal weight. I do know I need to lose at least 100. I'm 5'.7" and 260 currently.

Previously I was doing C25k three times a week, strength training (on weight machines) twice a week with yoga sprinkled in. I got really bad shin splints with C25k, so I'm undecided if I'm going to pick it back up. I may consider it after I've lost some weight. I'd love to dive head first into strength training with free weights, but it's really intimidating. Tips are appreciated.
