I'm slowly getting back into good health and since Thanksgiving I've gone from 217 to 196. I usually weigh 205-210 +- 5lbs so when I got to 217 I decided I needed to pay more attention to my nutrition and to begin a work out program. When I was younger I played sports and lifted weights and I feel like I've been lucky enough to retain a decent amount of muscle mass over the years despite not going to the gym in at least 10 years.
So right now my goal is to lose body fat while maintaining whatever muscle i have by eating well on a restricted diet (1900 cals/day - 40% protein 35% carbs 35% fat) and working out 3-4x a week for about 20 mins a day and focus on compound movements to get my muscles back in shape/maintain.
I'm thinking I can maintain this plan for about 6-8 more weeks and if i can reach my ideal short term goal of 185 lbs / 14% BF then at that time I will reevaluate my goals depending on how I look/feel. This past week I cut my calories to 1500/day and lost 3lbs which I'm happy with and was comfortable doing because I didn't feel like i was starving myself, but I'm not sure if am hindering my fat loss by not consuming enough calories and slowing my metabolism.
If you guys could give me an estimate on my BF% i would really appreciate it. I have a BF% scale which gives me a ready of anywhere from 19-22% and has given me that same reading from when I was 217 to what I'm at now which is 196. I'm guessing I'm around 18-20% BF and started around 22% BF. The first two photos are pics where Im relaxed. The last front photo I am slightly flexing

O.P. Try posting your question here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/10118-eat-train-progress
If I recall correctly, the group administrators/moderators will do body fat estimations if you post your picture there.0
