Hello!

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking through the threads on the forum for a while so I decided to post an introduction - finally - and become more involved because each person on here motivates me.

Some stats: I'm 20 years old and weigh about 70kgs/154lbs and I am pretty short (I think 5ft 3/4in). I don't really have an ideal weight, I just want my silly stomach to be somewhat flat and not look all belly like and weird. I guess if I had to give it a number about 10kgs or so would be an ideal number to lose... for now.

So, I started cutting out carbs (I eat wraps to substitute bread in sandwiches) and eat a lot more veggies and have cut out sugar. I already drink a ton of water each day. I work in an office so it really sucks that I am not active but I walk to the bus stop from work and vice versa every day. I can't go to the gym so for now jogging and exercise at home will do.

I am going on holiday to see family in June and would love to shock them with some weight loss as well as do it for myself. Do you think it is possible?

How is your weight loss journey going? I can't wait to get to know some of you. :)

    Hey M,

The journey has been mostly positive for me. I have been doing the 1200 cal diet since mid November and have lost about 5 kgs. I am currently approaching my goal weight and have been experiencing some slight problems with water retention which I think is as a result of including a more vigorous weight program into my exercise routine; but other than that I am pretty satisfied.

You are 20 and in the prime of your life so with a bit of discipline you should be able to lose quite a bit of weight by applying a good combination of diet and exercise. Losing 10kgs in that time frame may be a bit much but it is definitely worth striving for.

Good luck with your journey and I wish you all the best. Knock the dead in June!!!
