If you don't have an eating disorder now, you are certainly heading in that direction. Either that or you will completely crash and burn and end up piling all the weight on and a bit more for good measure. I know it's slow and boring but eating enough calories to sustain you body and exercise is the way to go and the way to keep it off. I had a wee look at your diary and there is no real food on there. WW bars and lean cuisine meals will be giving you none of the nutrients your body needs. For the sake of your health please rethink what you are doing to yourself. I would much rather be slim and healthy than a skinny unhealthy bag of bones.

This site is the worst site with regard to motivation ...

I totally don't support eating less than 1000 calories a day, but how about this: Try to be helpful as opposed to being ****s. You guys don't know anything about this person and, while it is very likely that it's unhealthy for them to be eating less than 1000 calories (especially while working out! You should probably talk to a nutritionist or something :)), straight up reporting it and not trying to help said person by at least providing helpful suggestions whilst you post it is a douche move. Which is exactly what I would expect from this douche-community.

    Welcome to the internet.
  • Firstly, I only eat one weight watchers bar but sometimes I add them because Ill snack on something that has the same amount of calories if Im on my phone.

No way am I promoting it, I want to know experiences? The REASON I want to hear experiences is because I know its not a good thing to do.

Thankyou to those who have something helpful to say! Off to the gym now so will read when I get back :)

Good luck at the gym with your "energy"...

Jesus, I know, Crsa, I know. It's just ... I mean ... what the ****. They have mods here. I just don't really feel as though the mods are doing that damned much. Of course, that's what happens when, as a site owner/operator, you concern yourself more with ads and growth than "your mission".

Next thing you know Google's going to be handing out our personal emails to the NSA.

(e; Although I will say that, following my post, people did seem to become more constructive ... although that was almost certainly a coincidence, because I don't think people pay attention to posts here unless it's to belittle them.)

It's pointless trying to be constructive with the OP, she's not open to discussion or differing opinions. I agree that constructive criticism could help a lurker who may be thinking of doing something as stupid. My concern is that someone actively pursuing such a low calorie intake could validate some of the people on here who do have eating disorders, however.

I agree. This post is the quintessential "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer". OP says she knows its bad, but specifically doesn't want any negative or nay-saying advice. That's not asking for help, it's asking for validation of a decision she already knows is dumb. I don't pander to people who deliberately perpetuate their own stupidity. Had she been genuinely asking for views, I'd have responded differently.

Weight loss is a marathon not a sprint, don't try to do it by sprinting like you were doing a 200m dash and expect to keep that up till the end, you'll just end up hurting yourself and bowing out.

Keep your body fed, your brain consumes a suprising amount of calories to function. People are warning on here because even though you're losing weight it's not just fat, it's fat, muscle and you are not giving your body the fuel to maintain your organs and other functions. Your less vital functions will deteriorate first so healthy hair, nails quality of skin, your body may also stop things like menstruation.

Numbers on the scale are just part of the puzzle don't make yourself look a state to get a lower figure (it's a pointless as chopping of an arm to lose weight). Also the more muscle you lose the harder it will be to burn cals. (You will not be gaining any muscle working out if you are eating less than BMR)

I hope you take the warnings seriously hun, take care xxxx

Since your heart is a muscle, can it be damaged by eating too little?
