Not in complete Ketosis yet

I'm sticking to 20 carbs (or less) and my body refuses to go into complete ketosis. The highest result I've gotten is moderate. Why can't I achieve large?! I've been doing low carb for a month now.

Don't do it, You are going to damage your body despite what the crank websites tell you. You will lose as much lean body mass as as fat .

Are you focusing on the urine test strips? The result shown on those is dependent on your hydration status and are often wrong. As long as you feel like you're in ketosis (no hunger, good energy) and are happy with your weight loss, skip the strips, they'll create unnecessary worry.0

Go to the keto forum. There is no love for you here. BTW you don't need to be dark purple to be in "real" ketosis. It's lighter because you are drinking enough water. If you are flashing deep purple, you are probably dehydrated.0 -
You are more than likely in ketosis. Like the post above me said, the stix don't have to be dark purple.
Anyhow, just keep doing what you're doing. Oh and be prepared for the keto-haters to start piling on. It's inevitable.0
