IIFYM Help, and women needed!

Hey all,

I'm trying to do this whole IIFYM business and I guess I'm a bit confused on the calculator and really how to track it in the first place. It says my TDEE 2008 but for fat loss it says 1707 which is what I want. Then it goes into what I should be eating for fat, protein and carbs. To change my goals in my diary should I be putting 1707 or 2008? I mean obviously if I want to burn fat I should use the 1707 as my target calorie goal but that includes my exercise too? That seems like not that much and I'm not looking to starve myself, and if I am following my macros will it fit the TDEE calorie goal too? And MFP doesn't let me put in my direct goal so obviously try to get as close as I can but how do you track them? I'm so used to tracking calories that this is a complete game changer for me.

Also, those who count macros, if you have an open diary, can you request me so I can see what you are eating? Or better yet, is there women out there who are in their twenties around 5-5'3 and around 140-160 pounds that count macros that have had success?

I'm sorry about my rambling this is just a complete different game than counting calories but I've seen people say that it isn't obsessive like counting calories and much more flexible.

Thanks!!!

Not a woman, but yes, 1707 is what you're supposed to have under your belt at the end of the day. If you said you exercise in the calculator then exercise is already included in those.
  • Thank you
  • Hey! I am 29 years old, 5'3" and 115 pounds now that I am at goal. I was 155 when I started though! I follow iifym (I preplan my day based on my minimum fat and protein macros and after those are met, I eat whatever I want) and was using TDEE a while back before I got my fitbit synced. Now I am doing 2500/day Mon-Fri and then eat back any deficit I made during the week on the weekends. You are welcome to peruse my diary and feel free to add me as a friend!
