Hi,
I really want to get this right...so I would appreciate your help very much.

wt-180
BMI- 27.3
goal-160

BMR calculated on MFP- 1453

Nutritional Goal Per MFP-
Net calories consumed per day- 1320
c-165 g
f- 44 g
p-66 g

Fitness Goal per MFP-
calories burned per week with six 30 minute workouts- 1180
( so far I walk 10000-13000 steps per day- about 5 miles. 30 minutes of very active on fit bit

And this should equal a 2# loss per week.

Is this the way I should move forward?

Thanks so much.
Laura

If you aren't aware yet, MFP ignores your exercise goals when it sets your calorie goal. You'll want to log your exercise here on the site and it will add extra calories as you earn them. Think of it as an incentive to exercise or a way to make sure you're fueling your workouts. Eat back at least a portion of those extra calories. Some people prefer to aim for 50-75% of them just in case MFP is overestimating them.

Additionally, am I correct in guessing that you set your weight loss goal to 2 pounds per week? Most people do and we all want the weight off as soon as possible. But 2 pounds/week is an aggressive goal unless you have a lot to lose (75+ pounds). You might consider resetting your goal to 1 pound a week if it's not there already.

If you haven't come across it yet, I'm a big fan of the Sexypants Guide. It's a lot of reading (and all of the linked posts are worth a read, too) but it's full of good information that will get you headed in the right direction: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants

    Yes. I set it for 2 #. : )
    I'll change that right away.

And eat my bmr calories per day minimum.
My fit bit calories are linked to MFP. But I'm not sure If i should trust the accuracy

thanks so much for your guidance
