Starting For Real

I'm young, but at a point in my life where the decisions I make now will begin to affect me for the rest of my life. I used to be fine with how I looked in high school, not too big, not too small. I'm in college now and although I didn't exactly gain the freshman 15, I weigh considerably more than i did just three years ago. My goal is to lose 50 pounds maybe 60, but I want to do it in 90 days. Is this a pipe dream? Can I do it safely? Have any of you? I've tried doing it alone, but now I need a support system.

That is a lot of weight in a short time. I am by no means here to burst your bubble but I will gladly support your journey and I can relate. I always think back to my younger self and wish I had taken action then, so I think that you are making a great choice! Friend me if you would like.

I applaud your determination--but I also think you may want to moderate your goals a bit. If you really push yourself with working out and sticking to your calorie goals you probably caould safely loose 10lbs/month. That's not really considered a gradual and safe amount--but I think it is do-able. Best of luck and feel free to add me as a friend. I have been a member for a while, but I fell off the wagon and gained back all the weight I lost (about 12 Lbs). So I am starting over as of yesterday. We can all use the motivation and encouragement!

That's around the same amount of weight I want to lose. While I'm sure it's possible to lose it in 90 days I have no idea how you would manage it. Looking forward to the responses.
