Old school Star Wars > old school Start Trek
New school Star Trek > new school Star Wars
Harsh feelings towards G Lucas for not only ruining star wars but my beloved Raiders series with Cyrstal Skull. :*-(

  • I think Tolkien fans should have this picture on MFP as a fitness reminder:

In other news, I have noticed that when ever I get hooked on some game, I forget to eat. I have actually installed Civ V for the sole purpose of dieting :-) Just this week I found out about gog.com, so I'm going to install Alpha Centauri on my Mac. Yay! Yes, I'm old! :-)

EDIT: ticker picture is actually fan art from a particular game. ^_^ (not my art, though. I'm not that talented XD)
  • Oh dear goodness. I am now obsessed with the idea that I need to add a Runkeeper challenge of walking to Mordor and back!

I've had to stop playing those types games because 12 hours would pass and it would seem like 5 minutes. Plus, I always ended up going to war with people because my negotiating skills sucked. Diablo 3 has been my only time sink for a while now.

I haven't played Diablo 3 at all, and no WoW for couple of years or so. I can't play those, because it's not going to be 12 hours. It's going to be several months! :-)

I have to say, your username seems like a perfect day.

    What did you do today?

    Naps and nachos.

    Alright!

This to the power of infinity hahahaha... there was a thread a couple of days ago asking 'How did you gain your weight?'

    My simple answer: nachos

    Alright!

I was going to use a username that sounded really sporty, but then I thought "Who are you kidding? Just describe what you're really like."

I thought NapsNachosNetflixAndNederburg would've been a tad too long...

    That's a lot of alliteration also :D

On a serious note though, anyone familiar enough with the group system here on MFP to tell me if it would be possible to create a group dedicated to walking to Mordor ? That'd be rad

I can't remember how I got a "walk 50km" to my Runkeeper. Just trying to find out. Not sure if it's a "challenge". You can have open challenges at Polar personal trainer site, but I don't have a Polar with GPS.

Yer sorry I got in early with that one. I sometimes use it when I'm not feeling too sporty.

If you do try it Lord of the Rings Style you need the right equipment, which is generally and axe or broadsword and a fuzzy toed Hobbit on your back.

Plus they say walk but it's kind of a continues hard run - but don't worry when I'm out with the guys we normally have to hold the back the pace for the slow arsed dwarf.
  • OK, there is a group called "To Mordor!" here, but basically that means that they've decided to walk to Mordor and stay there :-)

Shall we create a new group called "Walking to Mordor (and back)"? Mind you, it's going to take a long time to achieve that challenge :-)
