Carry out from Coney Island and House of Cards on Netflix!

I'm eight months pregnant, so the thought of having to actually wait at a restaurant on Valentines day, on a Friday no less, so it will be doubly hectic, does not interest me at all!

Plus, you can't go wrong with chili cheese fries and Kevin Spacey :)

This is the first Valentine's Day in years that I actually plan on doing something other than hiding in bed. I'm finishing up the work week and then heading out to do some shopping for birthdays and going by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for hot cocoa. Then home and in bed fairly early for a leg day in the morning, and then sneaking down to Trader Joe's either before or after the birthday with the family.

My plan is health! I worked out this morning, plan to skip out on the treats, have a low-key thai dinner at a local place with my honey, and then stay in bed all night and most of the day tomorrow!

I do have planned cheat days and today is it. We are having pizza but our pizzeria (they really make only whole grain bread but Fridays offer pizzas) has whole wheat pizza and they call it the poor vegetarian. Just sauce and lots of veggies so I am having a couple slices with a nice spinach salad and we order an everything for the hubby and the kids to share.

Unfortunately I have to work tonight (was supposed to have an event last night, but it got postponed because of the snow). I won't get home until 10 or so, but there is a bottle of wine at home with our names on it!

The ridiculous amount of snow shoveling required has "allowed" me to have a guilt free candy indulgence.

Making dinner tonight...rib eye steaks with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. Date night with the hub watching House of Cards on Netflix.
  • I would've bought myself something, but i don't have money to do so. Bought food though. Might get something nice to eat after training though.

Bought a scarf for myself and my SO...and ice packs and pain killers, among other fun things.

That's all I can really say to keep it PG.

Not sure what my fiancé has planned. It is apparently fancy enough that he wore a tie today

I am not too worried about calories tonight. It will be what it will be. Big workout planned for tomorrow though.

I'm single, so today is business as usual for me! Tomorrow, however, is an important holiday known as Discount Candy Day, which I will be celebrating to the fullest caloric extent.

Normal day for me. Might treat myself to a piece of cake or some chocolate, but being single, that would be about it. It is just a day that has been turned into a mass marketing scheme. Big business loves people who will use any excuse to spend, spend, spend and stuff, stuff, stuff.

    +1
  • Working today and nothing special tonight, but going out to Valentine's linner (lunch-dinner) with hubby tomorrow.

I had a veggie/egg sandwich for breakfast, packed a salad for lunch, and packed an apple and yogurt for snack. I'm eating light (but not starving myself!) because I want to fully enjoy the romantic Valentine's Day dinner my boyfriend is making for me tonight. \

    On the menu:
Dry-rubbed leg of lamb slow cooked in red wine
Potatoes, green beans, and carrots roasted with rosemary and garlic
Spring greens with blueberries, raspberries, goat cheese and a balsamic dressing
Red wine (lots of red wine)

He is a wonderful cook, and knows exactly what kind of food I like! Also, he isn't making me these "healthy" or "clean" things because I want to avoid guilt. If we decided to treat ourselves up with pizza, take-out, or something else high in calories I would have the same mindset. Everything in moderation, and always enjoy it!

Have a great Love Day everyone! :flowerforyou:

My kindergartner is the special helper today in her class and parents can come have lunch with their kids on their special helper days so going to school to have lunch with her with my hubby. My middle daughters class is having a fun day and taking their class to the community center to go swimming. My oldest one is serving at a dinner tonight to raise money for a Bahamas mission trip he's going on this summer and then he has a school dance after. I'm cooking a Caribbean braised Turkey with Homeade Mashed Potatoes and Garden Green Beans. Also made some homeade sweet tea. Hubby and I are gonna watch a movie later. Will be a full day for everybody but a fun day :)

Just finished my second cupcake that a friend brought in to work. I decided to consider it carb-loading for my 5K tomorrow. Yummy, yummy, yummy!

I'm going to drink alone at the bar.
PS, it's also my birthday lewwwllllll

Sorry, you'll be drinking alone. Happy Valentines Day, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

    Thank you :flowerforyou:
Change of plans though. My boyfriend isn't stranded in Maine anymore so I'll be doing something else. In the mean time, GYM.

We got 20 inches of snow so we are staying in where it is warm. We have a fire going and I made chicken, veggies and sweet potatoes.
  • Nothing. No chocolate for me first of all cause yesterday I didn't exercise and snacked out really bad so NO valentine's treat for me today. Also my boyfriend left this morning early for work after we got in a stupid argument about me turning the thermostat down a few degrees last night and he throw a bottle (don't worry, a plastic one..but still) at my head. No babysitter for dinner tonight and my 7 month old has been crying hysterically all day while the dishes keep on piling up. Happy friggen Valentine's day to me.

Normal day for me. However I am going to allow for a couple of the chocolate covered strawberries I brought home for my two valentines (wife and daughter).
