Eating soo much after recovering from flu help?

ve had flu for like 2-3 weeks for the past few weeks and I've had a really tiny appetite, like my net calories would be around 500 - 800 kcal because I was constantly bloated and I was stressed about school work, which made me anxious and I lost quite a bit of weight which I was really happy about because my weight has been pretty much stagnant for like a few months.
However, this week I've been eating way more like around 1500 kcal (not net) and after my runs (I tend to do a 5-8km run which burns around 400 kcal, but I only run every other day. However, I'll do walks which burn like 200-300 kcal on non run days. I'm afraid that I'll gain weight on that amount because previously I was eating that way and was maintaining which sucks.
I really don't want to gain back the weight I've lost. Is it normal to eat so much after falling ill? How should I keep off the weight I've lost? Help!

I was in the same boat as you about a month ago. During the recovery period from it I was downing about 2700 a day but still didn't feel up to a quality workout, I still lost weight that week. I wouldn't sweat it, you're body is still working overtime trying to recover. Just don't use this post as an excuse to go way overboard.

The flu takes a lot out of you. You are probably still trying to recover. I would listen to your body eat as much as it wants for a week or 2 then start slowly lowering calories if you are still eating a lot.0

I think your body is trying to recover what's lost. Don't worry0
