Thinking of getting Chalene extreme??

Hi I am new to this website. I had the app on my phone but didn't realize this website was here. Glad I found it!! I have a few questions for anyone who has done Chalene extreme. I was thinking about purchasing it. I have done a lot of research and it sounds like it really works!! I am excited to order it but before I do I want to do the heavy lifting since one of my goals is to become toned so from what I understand you have to get some dumbells. I know she recommends the bowflex ones but at this moment I do not have $300 to $400 to invest in something like that not to mention I have no idea what my lifting weight will be and they come in various sizes. I see that walmart has a set of adjustable dumbells that goes up to 40 lbs for $30 I thought about investing in that initially but was wondering about having to change the weights during the workout and if it would be too much of a pain to have to keep adjusting the weight by taking the weights off and on. Would love some feedback on what other people did or are doing.........
thanks
thanks

Sorry for the late reply... I've done Chalene Extreme and let me tell you, it does work! As long as you stick with it. I bought two of the following and it works great for me. http://www.getgoldsgym.com/fitness/en/GetGoldsGym/Strength/golds-gym-spacesaver-25-single-dumbbell
I like the adjustable weights because it is much cheaper solution. It adds up to buy pairs of several weights.
I would love to do this program again. Pm me if you are interested in doing it together.0 -
CLX is one of my favourite workouts and yes, it really works!
I use adjustable dumbbells as well and there's time between the moves to adjust your weights for sure. If not, just hit pause! Easy peasy!
Just before you put your money out on those weights, do a quick search online for reviews if you haven't done so already. They may be cheap but you don't want cheap quality either! I admit that I bought the SelectTech but they really wound up being the best investment I made for my home gym. Not saying you have to get those exact ones but just do your research. Some adjustable weights are very finicky when you try and change the weight between moves so you want ones that adjust and you can lift with minimal effort and time!
Feel free to friend me! I love talkin' CLX!0
