Which reading should I record today?

Good morning...just wondering since its Friday and Id like to record my weight but Im not sure which weight reading is more accurate...yesterday morning it said 196.5 and this morning it was 198.0 ....I realize your weight can fluctuate throughout the day so its best to weigh in the morning after the bathroom which is what I do. Which reading shall I record today and why do you think there was a difference in the two mornings? Thanks :o)

    Pick a day and stick to it, generally this will help 'level' out the fluctuations due to normal weekly eating (assuming you eat similar each week)
    I weigh daily & record on Fridays.
    I gained about 3lbs from yesterday to today, because I had a high sodium meal last night.

    If you record on Fridays then record today's weight. If only because you will then see a bigger loss after your first week on MFP, which might be nice :)

    The difference could be due to lots of things, none of which are concerning. Have a read of the sticky posts in the forum and start learning up on what can make these things happen.

    Whether your record daily or weekly (I prefer weekly), try to weigh in at the same time (roughly) each time. It is preferred to record your weight in the morning after you wake up and empty your bladder; this is when your body is as close to homeostasis as possible and you will get the most consistent results.
