need to lose 20 lbs - am i on the right track?

Hi all, i would like to lose about 20 lbs and i need opinons on whether i am doing the right things or if i need to do something different. This is all new to me but i have been reading alot of posts about healthy eating and exercising and I hope I am on the right track. i started working out 6 days ago and since then I have been doing 30 minutes daily either on the treadmill or the elliptical, and keeping my calorie intake to around 1200-1300 daily. I have a light breakfast, usually greek yogurt with protein granola. For lunch I have a ham or turkey on whole wheat wrap with one slice of cheese and lettuce, no mayo or mustard etc( i dont care for either anyway so no loss there), and either raw carrots or celery. For dinner I usually just try to eat sensibly, have either grilled chicken breast, or ground turkey , some kind of vegetable and a small plain baked potato.

Am i doing ok so far?
