Life was given back to this man. Thanks for sharing0

I am kind of suspicious. He said at 950 pounds he could not get on an airplane or roller coaster. I would assume that at that weight he would be house bound and unable to walk more than a few steps or do anything at all under such tremendous weight just like people who weighed a couple hundred pounds less than he could not.0 -

My thought as well.0 -

I also find this suspicious, due to the line saying "hundreds of pounds of loose skin removed" That seems very vauge, and like ALOT.0 -
whoops nevermind0

The worlds largest athlete (sumo wrestler) weighs over 700lbs (used to weigh over 800) & is still walking around in short distances, but of course he's a trained professional. I saw a video of him walking & he's sweating to get to the mailbox.
I don't see a 900+lb average joe being able to go to the amusement park or walking through LAX.0 -
This article is more detailed, in case you want more info.

Just googled this one... here's another story that has wayyyy more detail. It claims that he was in a nursing home a few years due to being unable to take care of himself, which seems a little more legit?

Really interesting article! Makes more sense now0 -
That is amazing. But really, I don't understand how someone gets to 950 lbs in the first place!!!0
-
He probably couldnt move but you dont need to do exercise to lose, so to be honest, I dont know what to make of it.0
-
Wow, indeed! A new lease on life! Good for him!0 -

If you are a 6' tall male, age 40 that weighs 950 lbs, your TDEE is 8,275 calories. That's a lot of food!0

Wow. I liked how he stressed that it was difficult. VERY difficult, even with the surgery. And that he has to be vigilant. Also that he points out what a crock 'Biggest Loser' is. :laugh:0

When I watch My 600 pound life, and other shows like it, they show a lot of the very obese get lymphodema which is a big tumor that grows between you legs. When they surgically remove it, they lose 40-50 pounds. I think the water in their legs gets tuck, and its pretty bad. they cant even walk. I dont know what it would be like to be that weight.0

yes, this does make it more reasonable. Oh, by the way, this is Robert. I am the guy that lost the weight in the interview. I would be glad to discuss the weightloss or any questions people have.0

hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Robert. I am the guy you all are talking about that lost the weight. I rarely respond to what people say or comment on when it comes to this, but i figured I would. I mentioned in my interview that I couldn't get on an airplane, or that i couldn't get on a roller coaster. You all are right, i couldn't. In the interview I didn't say that I tried and couldn't. my common sense told me there was no way I could fit in an airplane seat, or on a carnival ride. I was bed ridden for a good amount of the time I weighed that much. I lived in a long term nursing facility for years because I couldn't take care of myself. One person above said that it seemed vague when it comes to the skin removal. Well, I would be more than glad to post video of the skin removal surgeries. I have documentation and video of my entire journey. Now that I have an established career as a chef, it helps me tremendously with staying healthy and being vigilant in my journey to help others. If I can help anyone with menu planning or anything associated with weightloss....I would be more than happy to help. You guys stay blessed.

I couldn't. that was the point. I wanted to be able to and I couldn't. It absolutely tore me apart being in a jail of my own body0 -

I've often wondered what happens to the sumo wrestlers when they retire. Do they lose the weight?
But it IS encouraging to hear that someone lost weight (especially THAT much)!0
