Looking for some suggestions for breakfast that are high in protein, but low in sugar. Also, looking for some specific names of cereal to try that are also high protein and low in sugar. I have Special K High Protein cereal that I love but it's getting old fast!

  • Fiber One Honey Clusters is a good cereal, if you're looking for a change.
Kashi Go Lean is also pretty good.

I do an egg wrap in a whole wheat tortilla and get awesome protein that way. It gives me great energy!

I eat an Ezekial Cinnamon Raisin English muffin (toasted) with 1 pat of butter. Really yummy. It has a complete protein - look it up and check out the nutritional values.

    Egg sandwich (tortilla or pita)

Hot dog (seriously: 30 seconds in the microwave, a squirt of mustard, and I'm out the door)

yogurt with or without fruit (plain with cucumber and tomato is yummy, too)

almond butter on whole grain toast (with spinach on top! honestly!)

peanut butter on a halved apple
  • protein shake and a peanut butter mini wrap - keeps me filled up for a long long time
  • Can't go wrong with scrambled eggs with a bit of mozzarella cheese, spinach, and a bit of broccoli. Greek yogurt (Fage or Chiobani are good -- most of the others have obscene amounts of sugar) are high in protein. Add in 1/2 cup blueberries for nutritional sweetness. Have lunch or dinner for breakfast -- reheat the leftovers from the prior night's dinner.

EGGS, EGGS, and more EGGS. Crazy protein for days. I actually use egg substitute called Eggstirs (from publix) with a little low-fat cheese and make an omelet almost every morning. I use 1 cup of eggstirs and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
