Feeling guilty.

So tonight I pigged out on some pizza. Ive been on a diet since Tuesday. I feel like all that dieting an exercise has went to waist. ):

Don't let one day get you down, it happens to the best of us. Remember tomorrow's another day.

Don't feel guilty. I know it can sometimes be difficult not to associate food with negative feelings, particularly when eating over your calorie goal, but one high-calorie day here and there won't affect your long-term progress.

My advice is to log everything you eat to the best of your ability and move on. I've had a few days that have been 1000+ calories over my goal, but I logged it anyway because the numbers give me insight into my nutrition and overall calorie intake for the week. If you're feeling restricted or deprived, you may want to reconsider your calorie goal or make sure that you're not being too strict with your food choices.

Thanks for stating the obvious... Very helpful =)

Don't worry if you pig out once in a while. It is not going to make you put on weight. I have a slightly higher calorie intake every Friday and I have consistently lost weight every week.
If you feel bad and you know you will go over then exercise to decrease the amount you have gone over by.

You can always put your guilt to good use and exercise it off. Take a long walk. While walking think about what might have triggered you to go off your diet.

Then start a new diet during your walk...works for me.

Try not to think of it as a 'diet' but a lifestyle change. There will be days when you eat more, have restaurant meals, celebrate birthdays, go to weddings, holidays, etc.

There is nothing wrong with having pizza, but eat a measured portion that fits within your calorie goal.

One day won't ruin anything. The high sodium content of pizza may result in scale weight gain but this will just new water gain and should reside after a few days.
