eating time...

ok, I know people say "eat when you are hungry" blah blah blah... but I have found eating by the clock most effective...
the last week or so I have been doing a type of IF, where I don't eat before midday (apart from my morning coffee otherwise I might murder my family)... so,
I have my coffee, walk my son to school, walk home, have my second caffine hit and mostly this is the last coffee for the day, then I hit the gym for about an hr, I come home, I shower and then I have my lunch, normally consisting of a banana and a salad wrap with a source of protein in it. Then I chill for about an hr, house work or whatever, then i walk to get my son from school, walk home, I make sure he has something to eat and then he normally goes and has a rest because he is very tired! and I will have my afternoon snack: yoghurt and museli and if i feel like one I might have a coffee or a glass of milk. then i finish house work, start getting dinner organised, play around on here, or whatever! in the afternoons if my son has had a good day at school we go to the park where he plays on the water thing and i might do some drawing or read a book, some afternoons I play netball so we do that instead, my meals a pre-planned during my second morning coffee. I wear a fitbit, so after dinner when I check in I might find I have some spare calories to eat, so I might have a chocolate biscuit or fruit salad, and I also take my protein shake, which I really enjoy mixed with ice and my brain says "mmmm frappe".... if you have made it this far in my babble well done!
Then I have days like today... first of all it is Saturday, so I don't walk back and forth from school, I give the house a good scrub and do the grocery shopping and that's about it (especially today because its raining)... but my problem is this... i met a friend for a brunch catch up... knowing that I don't normally eat before midday I ordered a mango smoothie drink.. and I have been eating NON-STOP all afternoon!!!! I have mega munchies, I ate lunch as I normally would and even went and had a nap with my son to try to avoid the overwhelming desire to stuff my face (embarassingly over my calories today, but have owned it and logged it)! I know it is 90% self control, but this has happened before and I put it down to a calorie influx before midday!
Question is, am I a special snowflake or do other people find something similar?
Hoping to convince my son to go for a walk and/or to make it to the gym tonight to combat these calories I have eaten today... I don't feel good for eating them, I feel stuffed, and uncomfortable and I'm really concentrating on this to make it a deterrent for next time!

Hello, this is really an important info. I always maintain the eating time for keeping my body fitness and also follow the guidelines of my specialist.0
