Running a 5K

I have never been overweight...but I have also never worked out as hard as I have the past few months. I have built up my endurance and breathing with HIIT workouts and have built up strength throughout my body with weights and I just ran my first 2 miles nonstop in 20 min. 10 minute miles aren't that bad for a non-runner I think...now on to the next mile. Anyone that has this goal and hasn't been able to achieve it...get past that first mile. Once I hit 1.3 miles or so I was like...this is way easier than I imagined in my head...it's all a MIND GAME!!

Thank you for this. I've been getting upto 1.5 miles and having to push myself because I just feel I'm done. I'm going to think that this is going to get easier. Btw, 10 min miles are awesome. In the 20 mins I go 1.7-1.8 miles!0
