Optifast

I have been on Optifast for ten days--three shakes and three bars. So far, I've lost about 13 pounds with a total goal of 50 lbs. The challenge for me now is that I am beginning to find that I often have to force the shakes and bars down. I am getting queasy just looking at the stuff. Has anyone else gone through this? If so, how did you deal with it.

Thanks!

HI. I'm on my 2nd day of Optifast, and so far so good. I can do 6 Optifast choices per day, with a limit of 2 bars. I'm just taking it one step at a time, following the program exactly and doing what the doctors request. I'm trusting in the expertise of the professionals to walk with me step by step through this.

I did Medifast for two days (assuming it's pretty similar). At the end of day two I was vomiting non-stop and had bloody diarrhea. Let's just say I couldn't continue on after that.

Walk away from the gimmick diet and do a caloric deficit that meets your nutritional needs instead. I mean, there's no queasiness and it's pretty light on the wallet, in addition to working.

Not much out there beats that.
