a little bit late for some i know but hey for next year maybe,i found this a great cheep and easy recipe for allsorts!

tomatoes (halfed) alot,as many as you can put in the roasting tin!!!
2 onions quarted
thyme chopped
chillis(if liked)

roast in oven for about 1 hr leave to cool.
seive until nothing comes out you will get alot...(best way i found how to do this is with the bottom of a ladle...

warm and put over pasta
lasange base
spag bowl
pizza base
the list is endless and it freezes well,in bags for different size portions
experiment with the flavors!!!
enjoy.

Since my husband was diagnosed with some health issues, one being pre-diabetic, I've made everything from scratch. Once you make your own sauce by roasting the items as you mentioned you will NEVER go back to store bought stuff . . . I now have a craving and it is 6am my time . . . this sounds so good!
