to use JUST ONE SLICE for a grilled cheese sandwich? My answer would be no, but that is what my wife requested for her sandwiches that I made tonight. Am I the one wrong, or should I encourage she get counseling immediately?

    Just break up.

I almost addressed in the original post. I stuck with her "for better" now I need to stick with her "for worse."

  • Oh my. That's not allowed to be called grilled cheese....I love 3 three slices but I'll go with 2 usually for the calories.

I thought you were referring to a single slice of bread and I was seriously concerned about it.

Put on 2, tell her you made it with one.

This sabotage is in her best interest.

I think it is okay for children (my son requests only 1 slice), but what kind of self respecting adult eats only one slice on a grilled cheese sandwich?

One slice is acceptable as long as there is also cream cheese involved.

As long as it's sharp cheddar it's acceptable. Two would be better.

My preference is Land O' Lakes American, but the Sargento is all we had in the fridge.
