Losing weight while recovering from BED

I'm currently in therapy with a therapist and we have been discussing my history with binge eating disorder and I've started trying to make changes to beat the mindset. My problem is I'm also trying to lose weight. I in no way want to be unhealthy, but I weigh 230lbs and want to get down to about 160 (or whenever I get to 15-20% body fat). My goals are healthy, but I'm struggling with the weight loss and the mindset of BED and trying to lose weight without getting obsessive. My therapist is NOT specially trained in EDs so I know that should probably be a step in getting help, but I just want to know...has anyone else dealt with this? I just want to be healthy, mentally and physically and I'm struggling.

HI, I know where you are coming from. I have the same problem in that I get obsessive when losing weight or else I binge while telling myself " I will eat lots today and start a diet tomorrow"
Add me and message me any time you want to try and curb a binge- It would be great to have someone who I could do the same with :)
