I've been struggling with my weight for an extremely long time. im 5'3 and currently 204 pounds. the highest weight i have ever been. i have had a very rough last couple of months and im trying to get back into it. just a little bit of what my situation is about..
In Sept 2013 and about 182lbs, i joined a kickboxing class then after about a week of enjoying, loving, and feeling amazing from it; i break my ankle. healing for 3 months i put some weight back on and went up to 195. i made the New Years resolution to go back to kickboxing and re start my healthy habits.
On January 5th 2014, i found out that i was pregnant! my first pregnancy!! i was thrilled. My Hubby and i were trying for a long time and after carefully tracking my ovulation, we succeeded in getting a positive pregnancy. Unfortunately, at 9 weeks along, I miscarried. we found out last week during our last ultrasound visit. In Fact, im getting my D&C procedure done this tuesday. very sad and unfortunate situation.
This morning i stepped on the scale and i saw 204.... that's crazy... i can't beleive i let myself get this heavy. i vowed to myself once i get this procedure done, im going back to kickboxing and eating healthy. My Hubby and i will still keep trying, but in the mean time, im getting my weight under control. i hate to think that my weight was any kind of indication of me having such a terrible first pregnancy. but if anything this fueled me to want to better me and better my body for the next time i get pregnant. so i resigned up for Weight Watchers, because that worked for me, and i still love MFP to track my calories and exercise. I am starting both regiments 100% on Wednesday 2/19/2014.
If I can get any advice, encouragemment, and or success stories/ pictures, that will make me feel so much better! thanks to all who've read my story.:flowerforyou:

I don't know what advice to give, other than to focus on something you can maintain for life, and to not make changes you cannot sustain for life. And I am sorry you experienced the loss of your baby.0

You have a plan for good health ahead of you - bless your heart . So very sorry for your loss honey. Good luck with your new goals. Love kickboxing!0

I admire that you want to use your loss as motivation to make positive changes in your life. For now, I'd suggest trying to be kind to yourself and starting slowly by trying to make healthy food choices and to try to start walking and/or basic strength training. As you get stronger, you can get back to kickboxing or anything else you'll enjoy and stick with. As another poster said, it's important to focus on sustainable lifestyle changes.
Setting a target date to start is great, but I'd advise holding off at least another week before you start any kind of strenuous exercise. Talk with your doctor. I had three D&C's in 2012 when I was being treated for something that was expected to turn into uterine cancer, and I needed to take it easy for a few days following each one.
Stay strong! :flowerforyou:0
