Does anyone know how to pick the intensity for aerobic? How do you know if it is aerobic general or light? Thanks

I general guestimate depending on how much energy I exert. If I finish the workout with jelly legs and wanting to just lay on the floor and die, I consider that high intensity. If I'm breathless but definitely alive, I consider that low impact. Might I suggest a HRM? I was happy to see that I consistently burn more calories on my HRM than MFP estimates. I don't know if I should be happy about that, because I think it means I'm really out of shape (but round IS a shape!) but it does make my numbers look spiffy.0
