Low grain diet options?

I've noticed when I try a "low grain" diet approach I stop craving sugars, simple carbohydrates, etc.

I do eat oatmeal for breakfast and occasionally whole wheat bread/pita/english muffins.

I also am trying to limit my red meats to about once every one or two weeks.

I was wondering if anybody else takes this approach and what kinds of recipes you cook?

Get familiar with root vegetables Rice is another grain that really isn't used much as a sugar delivery system.

My boyfriend has allergy problems and it dawned on him to avoid grains (grass), and he says he feels much better! Could be worth a shot if you're in that boat. We're gluten free, dairy free, and now grain free, but somehow I still feel like I cook basically all the same stuff aside from oatmeal. Lots of veggies, meats, & fruits!
