Fallen off the Wagon this weekend

Hi Everyone,
This weekend has been a mini nightmare, diet wise, so today I thought, 'right, I am BACK ON IT!' like you do, however I forgot my lunch, had a few disasters at work and then went and bought a packet sandwich and crisps, about 700 calories.
I haven't been on my diet very long, which is really nothing special, just trying to eat a deficit, not tricks, wonder pills, shakes or anything but today, having eaten the processed sandwich I felt absolutely AWFUL! I nearly fell asleep at my desk, I felt bloated and tired.
I am full of cold and had to get up a lot with my 14 month old last night because he is full of it too so I am pretty tired but I guess I am just surprised at how awful I felt having eaten badly today when I have only been dieting a small amount of time!
Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to get used to your new life style?
I do not want to feel like this tomorrow so I am back on it again tomorrow, and today isn't over, small healthy dinner for me tonight!

I think we all have a tendency to do this and feel physically and emotionally awful after a bit of a trip up. It takes at least a month to get used to it but the key is when you do slip up..to get right at it the next day..or the next meal so it does not spiral out of control. Use your intuition to know when you are starting to fall back on bad habits...it will guide you!0
