I was diagnosed with prediabetes. It's hard. I am predisposed to it because it runs in my family. I had gestational diabetes with two of my pregnancies. I now just watch my carb/sugar intake. I eat low sugar fruits like berries and I get plenty of protein. Still working on the non-starchy vegetable intake. Trying to eat more salads. Friend me if you like.

Hey there, sorry to hear you're struggling. Living with this condition is challenging, frustrating and confusing to be sure, and I share in your experience, being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 1982.

If you're interested and a Type 2 diabetic in need of support and encouragement, please find a link below to the MFP T2D Support Group.

Type 2 here. Been diagnosed for 5 years, first 4 was confused and on meds. 8 Months ago made a lifestyle change and no longer on meds with an average 5.4 mmol/l = 97.2 mg/dl ALL on what I eat. MFP helps me keep track. My diary is open if you like to see my goals :)
