  • I started eating a cucumber in the afternoon when I started to get hungry, it really is amazing how well they work. Try it if you like raw cucs!!

The best thing you could do for your body is to eat a small fruit or veggy snack. Any appetite suppressant is not natural and other than wanting to lose some weight the main goal of this is to be healthy . . . putting in unnatural or synthetic things in your body is not healthy.
Opt for a small healthy snack instead. If you are having breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, then dinner you should not need anything else.

Try a handful of almonds. They do it for me. Maybe even some 100 calorie snack packs. They work in a pinch. Also drink loads of water. A lot of times when we think we are hungry we are really just thirsty. I say go natural and use your willpower and a few snacks. Veggies, fruits just make it natural. You don't need drugs. You can do it without them.

I plan my meals, eat regulary, 5-6 mini meals a day, get in plenty of cals that are healty and I'm far from hungry! I can't imagine trying to get my full days of cals in if I'd take an appetite suppresant. :noway:

Toss in some extra workouts, those definitely chill the appetite:wink:

Great advice above! if you still have snacking urges, try having some green tea. It always works for me.
  • Hi, As someone who loves her food, I love an afternoon snack that is generally not healthy - a yummy cake and afternoon tea or coffee is a treat and a well deserved indulgence! However, the mission is to loose a few pounds so I have found
    1. Drinking Diet Coke is a good distraction - and 0 fat & cals
    2. Duramine - YES...some people have very NASTY side effects - but this worked for me when I needed to loose 10kg after child birth. If you can stay on it just 1 or 2 months it is the best App Supp around. When I lost the extra weight, my eatting was already healthy, so I was able to maintain the new weight easily. Duramine will not work if your diet is poor, and you go back to a bad diet. Your doctor would advice you on this further.

    Best Wishes, S

Good Earth Original Decaf in Sweet & Spicy - works for me at night! Comforting and real flavorful - like liquid gingersnaps. I find hot and REAL flavorful works best for appetite control.
  • Eat more protein!

It's the best appetite suppressant out there.

    Green Tea rocks

and try to stay away from Diet drinks :)

I think spacing your meals out and following your plan here will help you. I have almost no urges to eat between meals or more then what is allocated ... just by sticking to what I plan for myself

That sounds tasty, does it have actual ginger in it, or lemon? I'm badly alergic to ginger and lemons. (sucks too cause I like lemons)

I use shakeology a nutritional drink. Gives you all your body needs each days so you have no cravings. For me I also had reduced appetite and no cravings. It did not do much for me for fast weight loss like it has for some. But it sure has made sticking to my eating regimine easy as 'pie". And I have lost inches!!! My stomach and love handles are shrinking!!!

I've been taking it since June. No cravings for sweet, salt, mcdonalds, baskin and robbins, wing stop, brownies, donuts. I don't even worry about it anymore.

Hope that helps. I literally get goose bumps when someone offers me a brownie and I'm like "no, just don't want any, thanks!!! Not that I don't eat sweets ever but when I want some chocolate or ice cream, I don't have a force driving me to eat it. And I usually eat 2 or 3 bites and then I don't want anymore.
    :-)
