To chart or Not to chart?

I remember back in the day seeing people bring a notebook to the gym to chart progress. I do not have an Ipad, smartfone, or any new electronics except an ancient Ipod classic that I purchased second hand in Thailand in 2012; (Of course this laptop that I am using now) Does anyone here chart? If so, when and where do you do it, and what does the chart look like?

I do, I just use an old fashioned notebook. I make tables in Microsoft outlook of my routine and then just write them in, but you can just write it out too. I like to write it down because I can make notes and remember exactly how many reps I was able to do of a certain weight so I remember when I should move up or stay.0

I bring a little spiral notebook and pen with me to chart my compound lifts. Easier to remember what I lifted last time, and sometimes I'll write little notes to myself about things to try next time or something I didn't like. I typically get that days page written out before I even get to the gym (date, what the exercise is, maybe make a little note of what weight I'd like to start with), and log the weight and reps between sets during a rest. Also really fun to look back and see the progress you've made.0
