Hello guys,
I am 17, 5'11 and 178lbs. I would like to lose 24lbs gradually over 6 months and get down to 154lbs. My Leavers Ball is in July and I'd love to be happy and confident with my dress and get my arms out instead of opting for a shrug
It's my first time posting on the MFP forums although I have had the app for about a year now and been using it on/off. Last year I lost quite a few pounds by walking and running and being active over the summer with my horses but once it got to autumn it kind of went downhill..and Christmas definitely didn't help haha. This year I am more determined than ever to make a lifestyle change to eat right and exercise, tone up and shed the pounds.
I swim at least once a week and take regular walks and I'm aiming to step this up I'm counting calories and cooking up some nice vegetarian meals. I'm taking the slow and steady approach of 1lb a week and anything more is a bonus haha. I have plenty of time to get there and I hope to look back with pride in July when I see how far I have come.
It would be great to get motivation and support from other people, especially young people and fellow swimmers but I'd like to say hi to everyone here and good luck with your journeys!
