Good morning,

I have lost about 40 pounds and I am almost half way to my target goal! Currently most of my wardrobe is really big and baggy on me. I would like to have better fitting clothes but I don't want to spend the money and time buying new clothes now and then have to do it again in a few months when I have lost more weight. At what point would you guys recommend buying new clothing?

What I did was buy just one pair of Jeans that fit, and a couple of pairs of work pants when I needed them, and the cheapest t-shirts I could find until I got down to my goal weight, and then bought all new stuff.

I second what the previous poster said. New clothes will be a good thing...but if you wanna cut cost, check out goodwill and thrift stores as well as consignment stores. Shop the clearance racks at Dept stores. Target has a bunch of mens clothes on clearance right now...Just pick up enough to get you through for a while. I personally do pick up a few things and shop down a size if i find a really good deal or something i really like. Things I bought last summer at the end of the summer clearance that were a bit tight, look great now, so i'll be good to go this summer. I picked up a new pair of jeans every time i moved down a size, but thats just me. When a pair was just 1 size too big, i could still wear it, but at 2 sizes too big it looked wrong...i don't spend a ton on clothes, but i do love to find a good deal :)
