Post crazy-stupid pseudo-science stuff here.

A friend shared this on facebook today, and I just about busted a gut laughing at the ridiculousness of it:

I think water does help you with all that stuff.. Esp since a lot of people are not drinking that much. The timing of it.. eh.. some people need structure.. so if this works for them, then great. At least they are drinking water.. Oh and I really do feel much better after a big glass of water upon waking. It does feel like it gets things *moving* but drinking anything will probably have the same effect.

Just need 2 more times so people get the full 8 glasses.

    hmmm..

Before walking dead so you avoid an upset stomach watching all those body parts getting ripped out
After work, to wash away toxic work related thoughts that might be lingering..

    :drinker:

So, drinking water immediately before bed helps you avoid stroke/heart attack?
And drinking water immediately before showering helps lower your blood pressure?

That is absolutely the dumbest thing I've heard all day.

If you don't drink enough water and THIS is the only thing that is going to increase your water intake, *mayyyybe*. But still, it's false advertising. The headline implies that the thing that is of utmost importance is *when* you drinking the water, and it most definitely is not.

My cousin sends me goofy stuff all the time... the latest was a post telling me to drink baking soda water to change the acidity in my body which will kill the cancer in my brain. (She should know I know better by now, we've discussed my job in the medical field multiple times). She's kind of a hippy-dippy.

Bahaha. I love it. I really do feel for the people who think this stuff is fact though. They have a lot of learning to do.

During peak summer when it is 90+ degrees outside and I just got in from being in the heat all day, nothing in the world feels better than drinking a bottle of water WHILE taking a cold shower. Think it is funny? Try it next time you're overheated in the summer. That is my pseudo-science for how to feel wonderful.

I had a cousin that posted something about fluorine in water and how it's bad for you. I had to set her straight.

I have a friend on Facebook who posts things like this. Her last post was about how extra virgin coconut oil can cure cancer.
