5'2" looking to reduce body fat with your help please?

So today I reached target weight. \o/
I wanted to know roughly what my body fat % is so entered some results on various sites. Wasn't happy with the number & now feel that reducing should be my focus but not sure if I'm on the right road?
Currently I Gym at least 3 times a week, walk everywhere (including on my feet for 8 hours a day) & trying my hardest to choose healthy snacks 1st (those of you who know me will be aware of my chocolate addiction! Hey we only live once!)
I would love to hear from anyone who has done/is doing what I'm aiming to achieve.
Im 38, 5'2" with body fat of 27.9% according to military body fat calculations.

If you are at 122 ( am I reading your weight thing correctly) Then you are no where near 27.9..I have you at around 22% which is a solid calculation. If you want to strength train i suggest heavy weights and incline walk (10 or above)

    I am 132 and only at 24.14.

I've read interval training burns body fat the best. I've started doing 1 minute max, 2 minute recovery for 5-8 times. I'm not sure it works, but I'll let you know x
  • Thanks Sonia, Will give it a whirl xx

She certainly CAN weigh 122lbs and be at 27.9% body fat, especially if she has not done any sort of weight training. OP, what is your gym routine? Are you doing only cardio? If so, get yourself on a solid lifting program to lower that BF %age.

Bugger! I had a few minutes believing I could be 22%! Yeah right!
Gym starts with treadmill for 35 mins, currently doing c25k, on week 3 & going fine, then a 30-40 min mix of machines followed by stretches.
Currently reading up on HIIT so gonna give that a whizz when I'm next in. as well as the gym I have the usual housey bits, dumbbell s, kettlebell, ropes.
