I'm on day 3 of the 30 day shred. Going off of 30 day shred posts I've read on here, i'm eating 1200 cals a day and I try not to eat all of my exercise calories back. Does that sound about right?

As a guess, since your diary is not open: You are trying to lose the last 20-30lbs, and want to lose it all at 2lbs per week, or even faster.

MFP is built under the idea that you tell it what your current activity level is, how fast you want to lose the weight, it come up with a daily goal based off that info...while keeping in mind that for many people a 1000cal a day deficit will put them below 1200 net calories...so it tells them 1200, because most doctors and studies will tell you is called starving, and has a chance of harming you in the long run.
Then people in a hurry want to go out and burn a ton of calories in hope that they will hit their goal faster, so they can go back to eating like they used to....only to put all the weight back on in 6 months, so they are back to "dieting"... rather than making a lifestyle change, adjusting to it, and staying with it for life, rather than yoyo-ing all the time.

So here you are eating 1200 cals (often coming in under that), burning 400 more exercising, so your net is 800 (or less).... and wondering why you don't feel good.
