Binging how to stop it?

I finally caught myself inhaling a pkg of cookies. This time part way through the bag I knew I was eating way too much, but continued anyway. Cant figure the logic in that. I had recently been ill for 4 days and short on food intake. I also ate 2 giant plates of salad, and 2 servings of meat..
But, this overeat sugar is not the first time..any tips on how to curb this well possibly a habit. I know I binge a bit if my sugars are low, but there has to be some moderation...where did my monitor go?

It's really hard, but recognize what foods you are most susceptible to binge on, then don't keep them in the house, ever. Find treats that you like but you can have in the house without binging on, or buy individual sized ones when you feel like it. Or find healthier replacements. If you binge on cookies, maybe try making healthy clean cookies? If you binge on chips, try making your own kale chips or eating rice cakes if you like the crunch.0

I would start by not buying them, once they are not near you. You will not eat them.0

I'm the same with bread. I try not to keep it around the house until I can trust myself with it again. Bread and pastries!0

I find if I'm never hungry, then I don't binge.0

I took to google this.
A study states good tasting good it happens with. This sugary stuff is a bio chemical shift, lifting of the serotonin. Stress biochemically can induce the desire.
The study stated that improved ways of handling stress can help .
I agree with every one that eat and keep healthily full, and keep only good clean treats or alternatives around. This was a first in a while to have a treat around. I bought it for a function0 -
You have to want being healthy more than you want that binge.
That said, you have to let yourself have what you want every now and then.0 -
I found this site to assist with stress management. This is not necessarily a quick fix.

I binge too sometimes, usually if beers involved. one thing that helps is if your wanting to inhale a bag of something slam a ton of water first. you wont feel like it anymore. or go workout, I never want to eat after working out.0
