Howdy Folks! (Hola... too).

This is my very first post on here! Well, not true; I posted something a little while back in trying to assist someone on the right Fitbit.

But this is my first post on me! yup. I'm 45 years and my goal for many, many years ago was to be fit by 45. Ha, that didn't happened!
But it's now "me" time. Time to respect myself and my family by taking care of myself. Ive been overweight since I was 11 years old. But that's an old story and I'm not going to bore everyone with the why's and what have you. Past is past! This is now; and "Now" is all I have if I want to have a better chance of improving my future... Started off a few weeks ago while weighing roughly 319 lb..

My short term goal is to get into the 280s. Mid term goal (7-8 month out, maybe sooner) is to be out of the obese category and fall into the overweigh category bracket (190's). I'm committed to be at a healthy weight 165-170 within 12-14 month!

What I'm I doing for this? Well starting by using this tool.. I Identified what's making my blood pressure skyrocket. Lack of exercise and poor nutritional choices. Eating Panera breakfast, Chick-fil-a lunches and BK or Mickey D's for dinner was surely killing me. Even as if I was to monitor the calories (which I didn't) the hidden sodium was killing me. No kidding, the sodium of three fast food meal could easily exceed two or three days worth of the DV! So no more junk food for me. I'm cautiously noting my intake and walking 3.5 miles during lunch times, instead of driving to a nearby fast food! Is amazing the dollars I'm saving too. Yeah, eating right is expensive. But eating wrong is much more expensive when you add the cost of driving, cost of food and medical expenses! :)
