I bought a Polar FT4 (in pretty pink, not that the color matters lol). I decided to buy it because myfitnesspal for calories burned was around 1900. The machines at the gym, minus strength training was a little over 700. That is a huge difference.
so...any tips? I've never used one before.

I use elctrogel to make sure my signal is read right away. Make sure to clean after each use well.0

Good Ole Fashioned Spit works fine. Wash that strap good after every use with hot water in the sink. Hang to dry. Be careful opening the battery compartment, I screwed up the plastic on mine and it's really difficult to open now. Probably ruined it.0
