reduced activity

I've recently been laid off (seasonally). My question is since my daily normal activity has gone from lightly active to sedentary should I change my exercise calorie output down. i.e: today I shoveled snow for almost 5 hours and it said I burned almost 3000 calories while if working I would have burned about 2000 should I figure I only burned an extra 1000 calories? The drive was single wide, about 80ft long with about 1.5-2.5ft of snow its length. I periodically checked my heart rate which was 130-140 BPM which is 80-85% of my recommended MHR. While it is a boost to my ego it doesn't compute. :)

    A few things:

    1. Go to http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc to find out your calorie burn EVER DAY by inputting weight and activities...MFP over estimates.

    2. Change your daily activity to sedentary

    3. Add calories burned to your workout log everyday.

This is just what i find to be most simple
