Question about joint pain for those who lift

Hey guys! I've been lifting for a few months now with great results ????
However, I have a question. There are times when I'm lifting and I get a pain in my wrist that sort of shoots down into my hand towards the end of my workout. It's not like an awful pain but an achy pain. It happens primarily when using dumbbells. I'm holding the weights correctly and I'm not straining (as far as I know). I do have minor joint pain but that's always been in my knees. So I'm not sure if its just joint pain. Will wrist wraps help this or do I just have to deal? I'm not sure if its normal or not. Any thoughts?
